Christ Connections to Education
With all the challenges in public schools these days, many parents are opting for schools that support their Christian values and have a higher level of educational standards, especially in the formative years of K-12 (kindergarten through twelfth grade).
After living in Hampton Roads area for many years, I saw how many parents struggled with the expenses and investment needed to find the best educational institutions nearby to help educate their children. I knew there were a lot of different options in this area with various price ranges for tuition, but I was surprised when I did my initial research to see how many Christian schools in this area were difficult to even locate online.
Not only were these challenging to see so people looking for options could find them, but often I found a misconception that private Christian education was too expensive and out of reach of many average income earners. I was pleasantly surprised to find there were a variety of different price ranges, offerings, and even financial aid to help with budgetary planning.
As well, I located nine Home School Association groups in this area along with many more neighborhood informal groups formed from the home-schooling parents to help support each other and share resources.
Since I saw such a great need in this area, I started offering my consulting services to help parents looking for better educational solutions for their children to save so much time and effort in gathering all the info that is even difficult to find out there.
Not only does my consultation with them help them sort through everything that’s available, but also gives them guidance, encouragement, and additional resources to help them sort through this maze. Parents who have worked with me who were doubtful if they could even afford this type of quality education have been pleasantly surprised at what is out there and how it can fit into their budgets.
It lights up my heart to be able to help people with such an important decision, as I know how critical having the right support and people educating their children is in setting the right course for their child’s lifetime and future decisions.
