As I was thinking of how to pray for parents regarding them seeking out Christian Education, the thought that came to mind is the value of your children. The Lord values your children so much! They are a blessing and a gift, not a burden to your family. Each child is very unique, one of a kind, and not able to be duplicated!

I recalled the time that I made 2 beaded bracelets as a gift for my Mom. She had asked me to make something for her. I gave great consideration to the exact beads, the style, the color, and the design layout. No two jewelry pieces I make are the same, and are each unique. Often the beads I have cannot be found if I wanted to duplicate them. She seemed very pleased and loved the bracelets. One day at a family event, her two great-granddaughters commented how pretty they were. They were very young. My mother gave them both away and then proceeded to tell me later, “I hope you don’t mind, but I gave the bracelets to them.” Well, I honestly have to say that I did mind! They were a gift from my heart to my mother, and could not be recreated. Inside I was thinking, “Oh no, they are just kids, and would not value them enough, or end up breaking them eventually!”

Our culture is changing at an unprecedented rate, and not for the good! Things we see today in our public schools we would never have dreamt to be in the forefront. These culture wars are affecting this generation of children in terrible ways. Anxiety, depression, suicide, and confusion over their identity in every way are taking a toll on them. I am pleading with parents who love the Lord, and even those who are unsure about who the Lord is, to seriously consider the value of their child, and to seek out Christian Education options.

If I were God, and I am certainly not, as I would see parents handing over their children to this godless world to educate and indoctrinate in secular, anti-Christian worldviews, I would be so grieved. Like my reaction to my bracelets being given to others, I would plead, “Oh no, please don’t give your children to the world! They were meant as a special blessing and gift for your family! They are each unique, one of kind, irreplaceable, and I am concerned that they would end up being broken by this world!”

I know that there is no guarantee that a Christian Education, whether through homeschooling or a Christian school, would insulate them from all harm. I do, however, believe that the odds would change dramatically in favor of your family and children in weathering the storms of life with a biblical worldview and Christian Education foundation. Please prayerfully seek out the Lord regarding your child’s education, and remember what a treasure your child is both to God and to your family.
